Mirosław Piotrowski (2014)

Mirosław Mariusz Piotrowski (born January 9, 1966 in Zielona Góra ) is a Polish historian and politician . From 2004 to 2019 he was a member of the European Parliament .

Piotrowski is a professor of history . He teaches at the Catholic University of Lublin .

Until the end of 2006 he was a member of the League of Polish Families . In 2009 Piotrowski joined the Law and Justice party (PiS), which he left in January 2012. For the 2014 European elections he rejoined the PiS, but left it again in October 2014.

At the end of 2018 he founded the small party Ruch Prawdziwa Europa - Europa Christi , with which he unsuccessfully participated in the 2019 European elections and the 2020 presidential election .

He is close to the controversial Redemptorist Tadeusz Rydzyk , the initiator of the radio station Radio Maryja .
