The Misawa ( Japanese 三 沢 川 , Misawa-gawa ) is a tributary of the Tama (river) on the Japanese main island of Honshu .

The Misawa rises in the district of Onoji, the city of Machida belonging to Tokyo prefecture . After leaving the city it flows through the neighborhood Kurokawa of the district Asao (city Kawasaki , Kanagawa Prefecture) and belonging to the Tokyo City Inagi and joins Kawasaki district Tama in the river Tama .
Legal status
The Japanese river law classifies the upper reaches of the district Asao for a distance of 0.46 km, ordinary River ( 普通河川 , Futsu kasen ) or on a track 1.38 km as mutatis mutandis treated flow ( 準用河川 , Japanese aircraft carrier Jun'yō kasen ). The other two sections, which flow through the prefectures of Tokyo and Kanagawa, are treated as a river of the first order ( 一級 河川 , ikkyū kasen ) according to the respective guidelines of the prefectures .
