Mischa Mang

Mischa Mang (born October 29, 1966 ) is a German singer , actor and musical performer .

Career

Mang began his training at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin and received a scholarship from the Gifted Foundation. In 1998 he received the diploma as a musical performer. Even before his training, he played the role of Berger in Hair (Glasgow). He played in Oedipus at the Hebbeltheater in Berlin and as a soloist at the Theater des Westens in Make Love not War . At the Bad Hersfeld Festival , Mang played Eddie in the Rocky Horror Show under the direction of Volker Lechtenbrink . He played Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Gandersheim Cathedral Festival and at the Chemnitz Opera House . With the Queen musical We will rock you , he celebrated its German premiere in Cologne in December 2004, where he played Bob, as well as Khashoggi and Dieter. Directed by Ben Elton. In February 2005 he brought out the album Walk in Mindfields with the prog metal band Ivanhoe .

In May 2006 he released his German solo CD Provocatio . At the same time he was again the Berger in Hair in a production of the Leipzig Opera. He then played Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Jagsthausen Castle Festival . In the summer of 2006 he also performed regularly with We Rock !, the original “We Will Rock You” band from Cologne. At the end of 2006 Mang was part of the We Will Rock You premiere cast again, this time at Theater 11 in Zurich, Switzerland. There he currently plays Göla, Khashoggi and Polo. In December 2007 the musical Jekyll & Hyde with Mang in the (double) leading role premiered at the Saarbrücken State Theater . The following year Mang gave the dwarf Alberich in Frank Nimsgern's Ring in Saarbrücken .

In 2008 his band Ivanhoe released the CD "Lifeline". In summer 2009 Mang Judas was in “Jesus Christ Superstar” in Thun (Switzerland).

In the summer of 2009, Mang Judas was the Thunerseespiele superstar in Jesus Christ , then in the title role of the world premiere of Nimsgern's musical Phantasma at the Saarbrücken State Theater until the end of 2010. In early 2011 he played the role of Scarlet Pimpernel in Scarlet Pimpernel in Vienna, where he was on Ronacher took over the role of Judas at the VBW. In the summer of 2011 he played Judas again at the Tecklenburger Festspiele and alternated Curtis Shank and Joey in the premiere cast of Sister Act at the VBW in Vienna. After the summer break, Mischa Mang took over the first line-up from Drew Sarich until the end of the season. From December 2013 he was also seen as the first cast of the role Curtis Jackson in Sister Act at the Metronom Theater in Oberhausen. In 2015 he again took on the role of Judas in JESUS ​​CHRIST SUPERSTAR at the Zwingenberger Schlossfestspiele. In 2015 he played the referee in Chess at the Chemnitz Opera in the premiere cast. In the summer of 2016 he was hanged as Judas in Schwäbisch Hall, on the grand staircase. For the Berlin premiere of Sister Act at the Stage Theater des Westens , Mischa Mang returns in the role of Curtis Jackson. In the role of Wolf he played in the world premiere of the musical Wahnsinn (Wolfgang Petry Hits). In the summer of 2018 he played Dennis Dupree in Rock of Ages in Amstetten.
