Misha Zlotowski

Mischa Zlotowski (born October 28, 1982 in Erfurt ) is a former German basketball player . The 2.03 meter tall winger played for Jena in the basketball league .

career

Zlotowski played in his hometown at HSG Pedagogy Erfurt and switched to TuS Jena in 1996. He was promoted to the 2nd national basketball league with the men's team of the club in 2001 and was the Thuringian top performers in the second highest division in Germany in the following years. He made the leap into the basketball league in 2007 with the team that has competed under different names over the years (Erdgas Baskets, POM Baskets, then Science City Jena) . Zlotowski played 18 appearances in the top German league during the 2007/08 Bundesliga season, scoring a total of ten points. After only one year, Jena was relegated, Zlotowski, who studied sports science at the Friedrich Schiller University in addition to his basketball career, then played for Thuringia in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA until 2010 . He had to turn his back on competitive sports due to a knee injury and a finger injury.

In the years after his basketball career, he became head of the Jena running laboratory.

National team

In 2000 Zlotowski took part with the German national team in the Albert Schweitzer tournament and in the European Championship elimination round, in 2001 he was part of the U20 national team.
