Misery Loves Co. was a Swedish industrial metal - band that was active during the years 1993 to 2000th The band was founded in January 1993 by Patrik Wiren and Orjan Ornkloo.

Band history

In the years after the founding, Wiren and Ornkloo initially continued their project as a duo and only hired additional band members for the purpose of live performances. In 1995 Misery Loves Co. released their first self-titled album , initially with the help of the local music scene. The success of the debut album helped the band to sign a contract with the British record label Earache Records , as a result of which the first album was reissued and released across Europe . Misery Loves Co. soon appeared all over Europe as the opening act for Clawfinger . The release of the EP Happy? followed in 1996, followed by a tour with Fear Factory and Slayer . Soon after, work began on the second studio album Not Like Them , which was released in 1997. This time the band toured with Machine Head following the album release. The third and final studio album Your Vision Was Never Mine to Share , which Michael Hahne and Olle Dahlstedt contributed to the creation of Wiren and Ornkloo, was released in 2000. A tour was planned and started for this album as well, but the separation of the band fell in the middle of the current tour and prevented its conclusion.
