Misool (also miso oil ) is with an area of (depending on the source) 2034 km² to 2041 km² one of the four main islands of the archipelago of Raja Ampat off the coast of western New Guinea ( Indonesia ).
Misool is located in the Seram Sea , in the southwest of the archipelago and southwest of the Vogelkopf peninsula . To the north are the islands of Kofiau and Nusela , further to the northwest the three other main islands of the archipelago: Salawati , Batanta and Waigeo . The archipelago belongs to the Raja Ampat administrative district of the West Papua Province .
The highest point of Misool is 565 m high.
