The Mitsubishi Electric Halle (previously Philipshalle ) is a multi-purpose hall for sports events and concerts in the Oberbilk district of Düsseldorf . It was completed and opened in 1971. Depending on the stage structure and the seating, it has a capacity of up to 7,500 visitors. It is located next to the Volksgarten in the Oberbilk district, about 2.5 km as the crow flies from the city center, and can be reached with the Rheinbahn lines U74, U77, U79, 705, the S-Bahn lines S1, S6, S68 and via the A 46 motorway .
Naming
The hall has been named after the electronics group Mitsubishi Electric since April 19, 2011 . Before that, the Dutch Philips group gave the hall its name for 40 years .
