Central Russian dialects
That means Russian ( Russian среднерусские говоры ) and the Medium Large Russian ( Russian средневеликорусские говоры ) forms a large group of Russian dialects . The dialects are predominantly spoken in the area between the southern border of the North Russian dialect and the northern border of the South Russian dialect . In the north of Russia there is also a language island called the Tschuchlom transition area . Meanwhile, Central Russian is still divided into two groups, which are known in Russian dialectology as West and East Central Russian .
Geographical distribution
Central Russian is spoken mainly in central Russia. The circulation area covers the southwestern part of Leningrad and Novgorod Oblast , the central part of Pskov Oblast , the southern part of Yaroslavl Oblast , the northeastern regions of Ryazan and the northwestern areas of the Oblast Pensa , almost entirely the Pskov Oblast , the Moscow Oblast , Ivanovo , Vladimir Oblast and Nizhny Novgorod .
