The Mittereisalm is an alpine pasture in the Forst Hintersee district in Ramsau near Berchtesgaden .

The double barrage of the Mittereisalm is under monument protection and is registered under the number D-1-72-129-69 in the Bavarian monument list.

Building description

The double casement of the Mittereisalm is a single-storey, combed block building with a leg shingle roof and natural stone base . The building was erected in 1894 and supposedly rebuilt in 1945 after being destroyed by an avalanche .

Todays use

The Mittereisalm is not served, the alpine pastures are used as pasture for young cattle in the summer months.

location

The Mittereisalm is located at the southwestern end of the Hochkalter below the Hocheiskopf at an altitude of 1320  m above sea level. NN .

The Hocheisalm was about 600 meters as the crow flies in a north-easterly direction. This has now fallen into disrepair; the Hocheis service hut is now located on the former alpine pasture. The Bindalm is about 500 meters to the west as the crow flies .
