The building at Mittlere Holdergasse 42 in Marbach am Neckar , a town in the Ludwigsburg district in Baden-Württemberg , was built at the beginning of the 18th century. The house is a protected cultural monument .

The single - storey half-timbered house with a gable roof and a set back house entrance has ornamental frameworks with a slight overhang in the gable and curved struts in the top of the gable.

In 1989 a comprehensive renovation took place and in 2005 the interior was converted.

The building stands within the middle Holdergasse, which is mostly gable-free with simple one- and two-storey arable houses and partly converted barns . As an example of a simple and technically high-quality half-timbered house, it has exemplary value.
