Moïse Schwab (born September 18, 1839 in Paris ; † February 8, 1918 there ) was a French Jewish scholar, translator and librarian . After training at a Jewish school in Strasbourg , he worked from 1857 to 1866 as the secretary of Salomon Munk , then for a year as a court translator in Paris and finally from 1868 as a librarian at the French national library . His main work is a French translation of the Palestinian Talmud ( Le Talmud de Jerusalem , 11 volumes, 1871 ff.).
Schwab was Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur (Ch. LH) of the French Legion of Honor.
