Mogens Balle (born April 1, 1921 in Copenhagen , Denmark ; † November 20, 1988 in Asmindrup ) was a Danish , abstract- surrealist painter, co-founder of the artist group Spiralen in 1947 and member of the CoBrA artists' association since 1949 .

life and work

Balle first studied architecture and is a self-taught painter . As a co-founder of the Spiralen group , he met Asger Jorn and Wilhelm Freddie . Balle worked with Christian Dotremont on logograms .
