Mohamad El-Ghazi

Mohamad El-Ghazi (* 1982 ) is a German law scholar and university professor at the University of Trier.

Life

From 2003 to 2008 he studied law at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen and the University of Bremen . After the first state examination in 2008, he was a research assistant at Ursula Rust from 2008 to 2009 ; project work funded by third parties; Topic: "The community of needs in SGB II taking into account family maintenance obligations". He completed his legal clerkship (2008–2010) at the Berlin Court of Appeal in 2010 with the second state examination in law. From 2010 to 2013 he was a research assistant at Andreas Hoyer , Chair of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, Commercial Criminal Law, Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel . After completing his doctorate in 2013 at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel , he was a research assistant at Ingeborg Zerbes , Chair of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law, University of Bremen from 2013 to 2018 . In 2017 he conducted research at the Law Faculty of the University of Basel, with Mark Pieth . After the habilitation colloquium in 2019 with the lecture Whistleblowing - criminal heroes , he accepted the call to the W3 professorship for criminal law and criminal procedure law at the University of Trier in 2019 .
