Andreas Hoyer

Andreas Hoyer (born August 10, 1958 in Kiel ) is a German lawyer and professor at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel .

Life

Hoyer studied law at the University of Kiel from the 1977/78 winter semester . There he passed his first state examination in law in 1982. This was followed by his legal clerkship at the Schleswig Higher Regional Court . During this time he worked at Peter Kreutz's chair in civil law . In his doctorate, which was supervised by Eckhard Horn and which Hoyer completed in November 1985 and thus six months before passing his second state examination in July 1986, he turned to criminal law. In 1986, his dissertation received the Faculty Prize of the Law Faculty of the University of Kiel. In 1992 Hoyer completed his habilitation and received the venia legendi.

From 1993 to 1994, he was a substitute professor at the Universities of Regensburg and Potsdam . He then accepted the professorship for criminal law, criminal procedural law and legal theory at the University of Regensburg, which he held until 2002. From 1998 to 2000 he was the dean of the local law faculty. In the summer semester of 2002, Hoyer moved to his alma mater in Kiel. There he has held the chair for criminal law, criminal procedural law and commercial law since April 2002. From August 2003 to June 2012 he was co-director of the Institute for Business and Tax Law, including Business Criminal Law. Since June 2012, Hoyer has been managing director of the Kiel Institute for Criminal Science. From 2006 to 2008 he was Dean of the Kiel Faculty of Law.

Andreas Hoyer has been married to Gertrud Weinriefer-Hoyer, the ministerial director in the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of Education, since December 22, 1989.
