Ernst von Braun

Ernst von Braun (born February 29, 1788 in Nuremberg , † August 11, 1863 in Altenburg ) was a German administrative officer in Saxony-Altenburg.

Life

Carl Johann Heinrich Ernst Edler von Braun was a son of Georg Ernst Friedrich Edler von Braun. As a secret councilor and district envoy, he was in the service of Löwenstein-Wertheim . On March 31, 1808 he and his sons were raised to the Bavarian nobility by Maximilian I Joseph (Bavaria) . One of Ernst's brothers was Friedrich Edler von Braun (1790–1875).

Ernst attended the Melanchthon High School in Nuremberg . On October 26th, 1806 he enrolled at the University of Erlangen for law. On March 23, 1808 he was reciprocated in the Corps Onoldia . Michaelis 1808 he moved to the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen . The Hohenlohe appointed him in 1814 in Ohrdruf for Councilor . In the Duchy of Saxony-Altenburg he became a Real Privy Councilor and Minister with the title of excellence .
