Mohamed Ali (born August 21, 1992 in Caranzalem ) is an Indian football player who is mainly used in defense . He is currently under contract with the Indian Super League club Football Clube Goa (FC Goa) from the state of Goa .

childhood

Mohamed Ali was born in Caranzalem, a village near Goa's capital Panaji , which is best known for its beach. He grew up in comparatively poor conditions with a single mother. For example, his older brother Niyazuddin contributed to the family income from the age of ten, and Mohamed himself also earned some money at a greengrocer when he was young. Nonetheless, he used every free minute to play football, even if his brother suggested that he concentrate on school education. At the Don Bosco School, he received sustained support from the headmaster and the sports teacher in continuing to pursue his path to becoming a professional footballer. He could never forget their contribution, he said when he was in his twenties, because they gave him faith and strength when he needed both of them most ( English I can never forget the contribution of Fr Edwin and Sir Raposo, they gave me the belief and strength when I needed it the most. " ).

career

Mohamed Ali took his first career steps in organized football for the U18 team of Goa United SC , before moving to Dempo SC for the first time , where he was used in the regional U-20 league. In search of playing minutes in the professional area, he then went to the Sporting Clube de Goa . After he got too few minutes on the pitch for two seasons, he went to the Santa Cruz Club in Cavelossim , a city in the southern district of the state of Goa. In the Goa Pro League there , he developed hopefully, which led to an engagement with the competing club Laxmi Prasad .

Laxmi Prasad went back to Dempo SC for the 2015/16 season, where he was involved in promotion to the I-League , India's top division alongside the Indian Super League . However, he did not receive a contract for the first division. Instead, he was active as a defender for Neroca FC , a club from Imphal in the state of Manipur, for one year from summer 2016 . He also helped this team in their promotion from the I-League 2nd Division to the I-League.

In the draft for the 2017/18 season of the Indian Super League, Mohamed Ali was then drawn in tenth place by the Goa-based franchise FC Goa .
