Mohamed Amine Touati (born September 9, 1998 ) is a Tunisian athlete who specializes in the 400 meter hurdles .

Athletic career

Mohamed Amine Touati gained his first international experience in 2015 at the Youth World Championships in Cali , where he finished sixth in 52.73 s. The following year he won the silver medal at the Arab Junior Championships in Tlemcen in 52.97 s and then retired from the U23 Mediterranean Championships in Tunis with 53.53 s in the first round, as well as at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz with 53 , 79 p. In 2018 he finished fifth at the U23 Mediterranean Championships in Jesolo in 51.40 seconds and the following year he won the bronze medal at the African Games in Rabat with 49.29 seconds behind the Algerian Abdelmalik Lahoulou and Bienvenu Sawadogo from Burkina Faso. He also qualified for the World Championships in Doha , where he reached the semi-finals , but was eliminated there with a new best of 49.14 s.

In 2018 and 2019 Touati was the Tunisian champion in the 400-meter hurdles and in 2019 also over 400 meters.
