Mohammed Awad (squash player)

Mohammed Awad (born February 5, 1949 in Alexandria ) is a former Egyptian squash player .

Career

Mohammed Awad was active as a squash player in the 1970s and 1980s. With the Egyptian national team he took part in the World Cup in 1977 and 1979 . Between 1982 and 1985 he was three times in the main draw of the individual world championship, but never got past the first round. In 1972 and 1975 he was Egyptian runner-up. In 1981 he won the Swedish championship , which was open to foreign players.

His younger brother Gamal Awad was also a squash player.
