Career

society

Inspired by his older brother Wissam Gassid , Mohammed Gassid began his professional career in 2003 with Al-Karkh , where he was under contract for a year.

In 2004 he moved to Al-Naft , but only stayed there for a year because he moved to Al-Shorta in 2005 . He played there for three years before he was transferred to Al-Zawraa in 2008 . Two years later he returned to Al-Shorta. After brief guest appearances at Al-Zawraa and Arbil Club , he has been under contract with Al-Talaba SC since summer 2011 .

National team

Although he played regularly at the club, he was only substitute goalkeeper behind Nur Sabri . Due to good constant performances in the club, he was nominated by the Brazilian coach Jorvan Vieira for the 2007 Asian football championship , which Iraq surprisingly won. He was not used during the competition. At the Confederations Cup in 2009 , he rose to the goalkeeper. In the three games he played, he conceded only one goal.
