In 2008 he played for the first time on the ITF Future Tour , where he initially had little success. It wasn't until 2011 that he won the title for the first time in doubles on this tour in India. In the period that followed, he took part in semifinals in futures, although there were still no successes in the individual.

In 2012 he got his only appearance on the ATP World Tour in Chennai at the Aircel Chennai Open through a wildcard . In doubles he lost on the side of Ramkumar Ramanathan in straight sets with 2: 6, 1: 6 against Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram .

From 2014 Jayaprakash also played for the first time on some tournaments of the ATP Challenger Tour in India, each time through wildcards from the tournament management, in which he never got past a quarter-finals. Two more tournament wins on futures followed in 2015, each with his partner Vinayak Sharma Kaza . Thanks to these successes, he made it into the top 500 for the first time in the tennis world rankings in doubles, while in singles at the beginning of 2016, the 577th place was his best.
