Mohsen Rezai Mirgha'id ( Persian محسن رضایی میرقائد; * 1954 in Masjed Soleyman , Chuzestan Province ) is an Iranian general and politician. From 1981 to 1997 he was the leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and has been a member of the Arbitration Council since 1997 . Rezai belongs to the Bakhtiar ethnic group and speaks fluent Arabic in addition to Persian . Like Ali Larijani, Rezai is considered a moderate conservative.

Life

Mohsen Rezai, commander of the Pasdaran in the First Gulf War, including the Bassidji , was accused by the Association of Mothers of Child Soldiers of being responsible for the deaths of thousands of young people.
