Moise Vass (born May 18, 1920 in Torda , Austria-Hungary , † November 2005 ) was a Romanian football player . He played a total of 192 games in the Romanian Divizia A and the Hungarian Nemzeti Bajnokság . The defender won the Romanian championship with UTA Arad in 1947, 1948 and 1950 .
Career
After his youth with Cimentul Turda in his hometown, Vass moved to Kolozsvári AC in the Hungarian Nemzeti Bajnokság II in 1940 . With the club he rose to the Nemzeti Bajnokság in 1941 . In the 1943/44 season he reached third place in the championship and the Hungarian Cup final with his team.
After the end of the Second World War he joined Ferar Cluj , the successor club of the KAC, after Cluj had fallen back to Romania. In the summer of 1946 Vass moved to ITA Arad . In the post-war period, ITA was the most successful Romanian club. Vass and his team won the 1946/47 , 1947/48 and 1950 championships as well as the Romanian Cup in 1948 .
After Vass was only used nine times in the 1952 season , he left the club in early 1953 to Indagrara Arad . There he ended his career in 1957.
National team
Vass played two games for the Romanian national team . He made his debut on May 2, 1948 in the first game of the 1948 Balkan Cup against Albania , which was lost 0-1. His second and last international match he played on June 20, 1948 in the third tournament game in a 3-2 win against Bulgaria .
