Moita do Norte is a former municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese district ( concelho ) of Vila Nova da Barquinha . It has 2089 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
As part of the administrative reorganization in Portugal, the municipalities of Moita do Norte and Vila Nova da Barquinha were merged on September 29, 2013 to form the new municipality of Vila Nova da Barquinha . The seat was Moita do Norte, but the administration in Vila Nova da Barquinha kept a branch.
