Molares is a place and a former freguesia of the Municípios Celorico de Basto in the north of Portugal . It has an area of 3.07 km² and 625 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
Together with the Frequesias Gagos and Veade , it forms the Vila Fermil de Basto .
A special feature of the freguesia is the church, Igreja de Santo André , which is located in the center of Molares. Molares has a vocational school, the Escola Profissional de Fermil.
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Molares, Veade and Gagos were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Veade, Gagos e Molares .
