Momo Kapor

Momčilo "Momo" Kapor (born April 8, 1937 in Sarajevo , † March 3, 2010 in Belgrade ) was a Serbian writer , painter and actor . Many of his stories have been filmed and several successful films are based on his novels. He also wrote scripts for various television films and series.

Kapor graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade with a degree in painting in 1961. His literary career began in the mid-1960s. Kapor was a member of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republika Srpska . Among other things, he illustrated books with children's poems by Radovan Karadžić . The Momo Kapor Foundation of the same name was named after Kapor.
