MoneyControl

MoneyControl is a budget book app developed by the German company Priotecs IT GmbH. With MoneyControl, users can manage personal income and expenses and create a budget for their private finances. The app is available in separate versions for iOS ( iPhone , iPod touch and iPad ), macOS , Android , Windows Phone and Windows , as well as a web application .

The app is offered worldwide and is available in four languages. According to the company, the app has already been installed by more than three million users. According to the manufacturer, the app is the market leader in German-speaking countries.

MoneyControl was awarded the MobilTech Award 2014 and the Show Your App Award 2016 and 2017, among others.

Range of functions

The application enables the user to keep records of personal income and expenses. These are entered in the app as individual bookings or created automatically using templates. An online banking function for direct access to sales from a bank is not included. Bookings can be assigned to different categories and persons and thus grouped and sorted. It is also possible to assign postings to different accounts.

The entered data can be evaluated and displayed graphically. Income and expenses are automatically offset to show the user the available financial budget.

Users can synchronize the data on several devices via various cloud services . Families and other groups of people can thus keep a common household book.

The app is distributed in a freemium model : Download and use with a limited range of functions are free of charge. The full range of functions can be activated through several in-app purchases.

history

The first version of MoneyControl was released in September 2011. Initially, the app was only designed for iOS . The version for macOS followed in June 2013 . Versions for Windows Phone and Windows 8 followed in December 2013 and February 2014. The Android version was released in September 2014. The online version was launched in June 2016 under the name Primoco.

Reception and awards

MoneyControl received mostly positive reviews from critics and users and regularly attracts media attention. The ease of use and data protection are often praised . In addition to reports in numerous blogs, magazines and specialist magazines, the app was part of various TV and radio contributions.

In 2014 MoneyControl received the MobileTech Award given by the Software & Support Media Group. This was followed in 2016 with the Show Your App Award. At the Lovie Award 2016, MoneyControl was also shortlisted in the Websites - Financial Services category . In 2017, the app was also awarded the audience prize of the Show Your App Award.
