Kerstin Monica Äijä Lenndin (born February 17, 1963 in Uppsala ) is a former Swedish ski racer . She specialized in the technical disciplines of slalom and giant slalom and achieved seven top 10 placements in the World Cup .

biography

Monica Äijä was a member of the Swedish national ski team in the mid to late 1980s. In the World Cup , she was able to place ten times in the top 15 in her special disciplines of slalom and giant slalom between March 1984 and December 1987 and win World Cup points. She was in the top ten seven times and on January 11, 1985, she achieved her best World Cup result with sixth place in the Bad Kleinkirchheim slalom . In 1982 and 1983 she was Swedish slalom champion and in 1986 and 1987 Swedish champion in giant slalom. However, the Swede was unsuccessful in international medal decisions. She started at the 1985 and 1987 World Championships and the 1988 Winter Olympics in slalom and giant slalom, but did not finish in any of these six races.
