Monica Apprentice Ntege

Monica Azuba Ntege (birth name: Monica Azuba ; born February 12, 1956 ) is a Ugandan engineer and politician of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), who has been Minister for Labor and Transport since 2016.

Life

After attending Gayaza High School in 1975, Monica Azuba Ntege began studying civil engineering at Makerere University , graduating in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (B. Sc. Civ. Eng.). She then began her professional career at Uganda Commercial Bank Ltd., founded in 1965 . (UCB / UCBL) and was initially a trainee engineer and then between 1983 and 1987 a real estate manager. After gaining a management diploma from the Chartered Institute of Builders in Brighton in 1987, she worked as a project engineer at UCB from 1987 to 1990 and then from 1990 to 1992 as a loan manager at UCBL. Between 1992 and 1993 she was Assistant Chief Manager for Loans Processing at UCBL and from 1994 to 1998 Assistant Chief Manager for Loans Processing at Data Bank , before she was last Chief Manager for Real Estate and Logistics at UBCL between 1998 and 2002. In 2003, she moved to Stanbic Bank Uganda Limited (SBU) and was the first manager for procurement and capital expenditure and following 2006-2014 manager of the property of the SBU, and then from 2014 to 2016 Corporate Director of Ultra Uganda Ltd .

In 2016, Monica Azuba Ntege became Minister of Works and Transport in the cabinet of Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda .
