The Mont d'Haurs is a ridge in the French commune of Givet , in the Ardennes department , in the Ardennes .

The Mont d'Haurs is located at the confluence of the Houille river into the Meuse . Here is the northernmost point of the French Maas valley. Just downstream of Givet, the Meuse crosses over to Belgium . The French Canal de la Meuse , which uses the canalized Meuse for shipping, also ends in Givet . Around the Mont d'Haurs are the places Givet , Fromelennes , Charnois , Rancennes and in a valley the place Landrichamps .
