The Monte Gavilán (in Argentina Monte Biedma ) is a mountain on the Nordenskjöld coast of the Graham country in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 12 km north-northeast of Mount Brading and about 14 km north of the northern foothill of Larsen Inlet .
Chilean scientists named it after Daniel Gavilán Garrido of the Fuerza Aérea de Chile , who had belonged to the crew of the Angamos on the 1st Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1946-1947). The background of the Argentine naming is not known.
