The Monte Matto is a 3,097 m high mountain in the Italian Alps . It is located in the Piedmontese Gessotal (it. Val Gesso ) in the province of Cuneo a few kilometers north of the border with France near Terme di Valdieri .
Together with Monte Argentera , Corno Stella and Monte Stella , Monte Matto is part of the Argentera massif.
