The Monte Sagues ( Spanish ; in Argentina Monte Café ) is a mountain on the southwest coast of the West Antarctic Joinville Island . It rises 13 km southwest of Mount Alexander near the north bank of Active Sound .
Chilean scientists named him after Héctor Sagues Hermann, participant in the 2nd Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1947-1948). The further background of the Argentine naming is not known.
