The Monte Troodelöh is 118.04  m above sea level. NHN the highest point in the city of Cologne . It is located in the Rath / Heumar district about 1250 meters as the crow flies south of the A 4 on Wolfsweg between the confluence of Pionier-Hütten-Weg and the intersection with Brück-Forsbacher Weg. The Monte Troodelöh lies on an uphill slope in the Königsforst . Above (east) the Wolfsweg the terrain continues to rise up to about 130 meters, this mountain peak has no name. It belongs to the district of Bensberg in the city of Bergisch Gladbach , as the Wolfsweg is the border to the Cologne city area at this point.

Until 1999 the point was largely unknown. At this time the highest point in Cologne was 116.7  m above sea level. NHN indicated. On November 12th of that year, a small group of city officials hiked this spot and set a temporary summit cross. After the municipal office for real estate, surveying and cadastre had re-measured the area in 2000, the height was corrected to 118.04  m above sea level. NHN .

In 2001, under the leadership of the Rhineland-Cologne section of the German Alpine Club, a new summit cross with a bronze plaque was installed on which the actual height was noted. Shortly afterwards, the forest administration replaced the cross with a boulder , which now bears the plaque. In the same year, the point was awarded for a competition at the Municipal employee magazine named after the last names of the three "explorers" Troo st, De serving snacks and Löh mer. The BBBank donated a rest bench for hikers. A summit book was attached, but it was stolen or destroyed several times by vandalism .

Today, Monte Troodelöh is part of numerous route suggestions in local hiking and Cologne literature and is considered a sight, although it has neither a view nor a gastronomic infrastructure to offer. He is in the circular route Cologne path included the Cologne Eifelverein.
