Montserrat Carulla
Montserrat Carulla i Ventura (born September 19, 1930 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish actress .
Life
Montserrat Carulla began her acting career when she played amateur theater from the late 1940s and studied acting at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona. From 1960 she played regularly at theaters in Madrid and Barcelona. After she starred in the drama Surcos directed by José Antonio Nieves Conde in 1951 , her actual film career also only began in the early 1960s. Since then she has appeared in several television series and movies. In German-speaking countries, in addition to her role as Benigna in the drama Das Waisenhaus, directed by Juan Antonio Bayona , she was most recently seen as Teresa in the television series Crematorio - In Purgatory of Corruption .
From 1970 she also attended occasional seminars in art history at the University of Barcelona . She is also the spokesperson for the dubbing of foreign films into Catalan and Spanish.
Carulla was married to the actor Felip Peña until his death on April 9, 1989 . They had four children together, including actress Vicky Peña .
