Monumenta Sepulcrorum is a funeral doom band founded in 2010 .
history
Monumenta Sepulcrorum was founded by the Italian black metal musician "Lord Svart" in Salerno . The multi-instrumentalist invited the Brazilian satanist “Outro Evocate” to be a permanent guest singer and songwriter . The musicians made their debut in 2010 with the EP Watching the Nausea on Depressive Illusions Records . The following year, the album A Pact for the Suicide was released via Satanarsa Records and The Tome, distributed as a demo tape via Runenstein Records .
style
The music of Monumenta Sepulcrorum is assigned to the harsh-aggressive spectrum of Funeral Doom. The webzine Doom-Metal.com describes the music as "Blackened Funeral / Torture Doom" with a raw production . For comparison, reference is made to popular interpreters of the corresponding genre varieties, such as Wormphlegm and Senthil . The label Depressive Illusions Records also describes the music as raw “Funeral Doom Black Metal” in whose conceptual framework the musicians present “ Hymns of Suicide ”.
