Moon Safari is the debut album by the French band Air . It was released in January 1998. On the occasion of the 10th birthday of the album, it was re-released in 2008 as a 2-CD + DVD box.

reception

The album received excellent reviews. At Allmusic it receives the highest rating with five out of five points. With Pitchfork Media is performed at number 46 of the list of the best albums of the 1990s. In a list by the music magazine Visions of 150 albums for the ages , the album is at number 114.

The new edition with bonus CD and DVD, released in 2008, is rated rather critically by Pitchfork and received, due to the low added value of the bonus material, only an average grade of 5.6 out of 10.
