Moonlight Whispers is a Japanese love story by director Akihiko Shiota from 1999. The film tells the sadomasochistic love story of the Japanese student Takuya Hidaka ( Kenji Mizuhashi ) and his classmate Satsuki Kitahara ( Tsugumi ). The film is based on the manga Gekko no sasayaki .

action

The two Japanese students Takuya Hidaka ( Kenji Mizuhashi ) and Satsuki Kitahara ( Tsugumi ) are a couple. Outwardly, they look like an average student couple who practice kendo together in their free time .
When Satsuki secretly breaks into Takuya's school locker, she immediately realizes that his feelings go well beyond conventional love. Various objects in the locker, some of which were very intimate, clearly show that Takuya adored her even before the beginning of their relationship.
Takuya had already collected these items before the couple got together. The longer he knows Satsuki, the more certain he becomes that he not only wants to be her boyfriend, but much more her slave . The discovery of the fetishes hoarded in the locker repels Satsuki so much and hurts her so much that she separates from him. Takuya refuses to accept this reality. The more cruel Satsuki pushes him back, the more he submits to her. It is becoming more and more clear that Satsuki is beginning to enjoy the unconditional submission and the ever-new torments it has invented. Finally she puts Takuya to the test of his love.
