Moose (born December 24, 1990 in Weirsdale , Florida , † June 22, 2006 in Los Angeles , California ) was a Jack Russell Terrier , known from the US series Frasier .

Moose changed hands frequently as a puppy due to his difficult character until he was picked up by Universal Studios animal trainer Kathy Morrison . After appearing on Animal Actors' Showcase, he moved to Hollywood and was cast in the role of series dog Eddie on the sitcom Frasier. The successful series was produced for eleven years (and as many seasons); Moose was occasionally represented by his son Enzo and completely replaced by him from 2002. In total, he starred in 192 episodes.

He also played in the film My Dog Skip , became an advertising star due to his popularity (e.g. for Super Bowl Bretzeln ) and graced the cover of several US magazines (including Entertainment Weekly ). He became a popular guest on US talk shows, such as B. Jay Leno's Tonight Show and David Letterman's Late Nite.

In January 2000, Moose published his autobiography My Life as a Dog "with the help" of screenwriter Brian Hargrove .

He lived with his son Enzo in Los Angeles with his trainer Mathilde DeCagny Halberg.

There he died on June 22, 2006 of old age.
