Morgan is a place and the administrative seat of Morgan County in the US state of Utah .

history

The name of the place Morgan and the county of Jededia Morgan Grant , a leader of the Mormon Church. The place was settled in 1855, years before the county was founded in 1862. In the village of Morgan there is an old railway station of the transcontinental railroad line that ran through Morgan County. The Morgan County railroad line began in 1864. The station was closed in 1982, but is still used as a visitor center.
