Morgan Advanced Materials (until 2013 Morgan Crucible ) is a Windsor , Berkshire, UK-based manufacturer of ceramic and graphite products , industrial furnaces and brazed assemblies. The company was founded in Battersea ( London ) in 1856 .
Structure and products
The group is divided into two divisions to which a total of five business units belong. The Thermal Products division has around 3,130 employees at 32 locations worldwide. The Carbon and Technical Ceramics Division has around 5360 employees at 49 locations. A third of the employees work in the United States of America , 27.5 percent in Europe ( United Kingdom : 9.5 percent) and 14 percent in China .
Since 2008, a total of four (global) development centers ( Center of Excellence , CoE) have been opened.
