Moritz Alexander Bartsch

Moritz Alexander Bartsch (born May 3, 1845 in Löbau ; † February 16, 1918 ) was a German judge .

Life

Bartsch was an Evangelical Lutheran and the son of a master bookbinder. After attending the Princely School of Grimma , he studied law and camera studies in Leipzig from 1863 . In 1867 he was sworn in to the Saxon sovereign. In 1868 he was trainee lawyer and in 1872 court trainee lawyer. In 1878 he was appointed district judge in Leipzig. In 1879 he was appointed magistrate in Oschatz. He was promoted to district judge in 1880. In 1882 he became regional court director in Leipzig. In 1898 he came to the Imperial Court . He was in the III. and IV. Criminal Senate. He retired in 1912. After Degener he was a national liberal.

His parents were Moritz Bartsch and Johanna nee Kühne. In 1877 Bartsch married Minna Scheuffler's daughter, a lawyer. They had four daughters.
