Moritz Ludwig II. Imperial Count of Nassau (* December 2, 1670 (baptism date), † December 26, 1740 in Menen ) was Lord of Lek and Beverweerd .

Life

Moritz Ludwig II. (Dutch Maurits Lodewijk ) was the only son of Moritz Ludwig I. von Nassau-LaLecq and Anna Isabella von Bayern von Schagen. He became colonel of the cavalry in 1696, brigadier in 1702, major general in 1704, lieutenant general in 1709, in 1717 as successor to Wilhelm Moritz von Nassau-Ouwerkerk in command of Ypres and in 1724 in command of Menen .

Moritz Ludwig was constantly struggling with large debts. In 1708 he sold the Odijk rulership , which he had acquired through marriage, and in 1722 the Krimpen aan den IJssel , Lekkerkerk and Zuidbroek and Ouwerkerk rulers , which were formerly part of the Lek rulership .
