Moritz Weltgen (born February 8, 1987 in Göppingen ) is a former German handball player .

Career

Moritz Weltgen started playing handball in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse at the age of six . At the beginning of 2001 he moved to VfL Bad Schwartau , in mid-2006 he moved to TSV Altenholz and at the same time received the second game right at THW Kiel . Since 2009 he has played alone for TSV Altenholz in the 2nd Bundesliga. He moved to SV Post Schwerin for the 2011/2012 season , where he received a two-year contract. In October 2012 Weltgen moved from the second division team, which was in financial difficulties, to league rivals HC Erlangen , against whom the right-hander was able to score two goals a week earlier, and signed a contract until 2014. With Erlangen, he was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga in 2014 . He ended his career in summer 2015.
