Morley Evans Wilson

Morley Evans Wilson (born February 8, 1881 in Bright , † 1965 ) was a Canadian geologist.

Wilson received his bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto in 1907 and his PhD from Yale University in 1912 (Preliminary memoir on the Abitibi district, Pontiac County, Quebec)

Wilson was with the Geological Survey of Canada for forty years and was particularly concerned with geology and mineral deposits in Québec (for example the area of ​​the Timiskaming Lake and of Amherst (Québec) and Grenville (Québec) ) and Ontario .

In 1950 he received the Penrose Medal . He was a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (1926).
