Morpheus Descends is a death metal band from Middletown in the US state of New York . They play New York Death Metal , which is typical for New York , with light Doom Metal elements. Guitarist Guy Marchais is not only active in “Morpheus Descends” but also in “ Suffocation ”.
Band history
The band was founded in 1990 under the name "Morpheus" and was renamed in 1992 to "Morpheus Descends". After the debut album , the band lost their record deal and was independent from 1993. In 1998 "Morpheus Descends" broke up. Only in 2005 did the band reform and get a new record deal.
