Morpho Cards (formerly Sagem Orga ) is a company in the chip card industry. The product range includes hardware, software, advice and service for everything to do with smart cards for the telecommunications , health , identification and banking sectors . The company, which was founded in 1984 as ORGA Kartensysteme GmbH, was taken over in 2005 by Sagem Sécurité, which in turn is part of the state-owned French conglomerate SAFRAN SA . Morpho Cards has its headquarters and a production facility in Flintbek and employs 2,700 people worldwide. The production facilities are located in Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Russia and India; Subsidiaries in France, Great Britain, India, Lithuania, Mexico, Austria, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Singapore, Spain, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil and the USA.
