The Morris Point is a headland in the south of Bird Iceland before the western end of South Georgia . It is located half a mile east of Pearson Point .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1977. It is named after Roger Oliver Morris (* 1932) of the Royal Navy , hydgrographic officer on board HMS Owen, surveying Stewart Strait and adjacent areas between 1960 and 1961.
