General Morteza Khan Momtazel ​​Molk (* August 1866 in Tehran ; † in the 20th century) was a Persian ambassador .

Life

Morteza Khan Momtazel ​​Molk was the son of Haji Mirza Djab'ar Khan . In his childhood he was a page at the Persian court. From 1877 to 1878 he attended the College of Darel-Fonun . From 1897 to 1899 he was Consul General in Tbilisi . His older brother was Mirza Djevad Khan Kasi, Persian Minister of Commerce in 1905. He accompanied him to Paris, he was Persian general commissioner at the Paris World Exhibition in 1900 . He stayed in Paris and studied at the Lycée Saint-Louis . After his return from Paris he was chamberlain at the Persian court and dragoman in the foreign ministry. He was later appointed Legation Secretary and headed the America, France, Italy, Holland, Spain and Switzerland division.

In May 1904 he was appointed Envoy Extraordinary and Ministre plénipotentiaire to the American Republics, based in Washington, DC .
