My Embarrassing Parents (Original Title: Mortified ) is an Australian television series , the first episode of which was broadcast on June 30, 2006 on Nine Network . The main role of Taylor Fry was played by Marny Kennedy . The German dubbing voice is Leslie-Vanessa Lill . The series consists of two seasons of 13 episodes each.

action

Eleven-year-old Taylor Fry feels her parents are totally embarrassing because they lead a very free and easy life, which is not easy for a pubescent girl. Only your friends can help. They are always at her side. Unless there are some differences of opinion again. Then Taylor is in her own little fantasy world, because that's where she can always find advice.

character

  • Marny Kennedy as Taylor Fry is the main character of the series and is eleven years old (twelve years old in the second season). Sometimes she thinks she is a " black sheep ". Taylor has a great imagination and often thinks she is the only person in her family who still has some sense. She is also secretly in love with Leon Lipowski. Because Leon and Taylor have (almost) nothing in common and Brittany and Leon get along well, Taylor is often jealous of Brittany.
  • Nicolas Dunn as Hector Garcia is Taylor's best friend and is the same age as her. He's very realistic , likes science , enjoys fishing in his spare time , is a true friend, and helps Taylor with any problem. Also, Hector is secretly in love with Taylor. He has a cat hair allergy.
  • Maia Mitchell as Brittany Flune is Taylor's neighbor, and unlike Taylor, she is rich and perfect. Brittany, like Taylor, is secretly in love with Leon Lipowski. Because the two of them get along well, Taylor often loses out, which Brittany is of course happy about.
  • Dajana Cahill as Layla Fry is Taylor's older sister. She annoys Taylor in almost all episodes. She doesn't have a strong character because once she has a new boyfriend on the show, her style changes too.
  • Luke Erceg as Leon Vivian Lipowski is a popular and sporty boy who loves surfing . He's also Taylor and Brittany's secret crush . It is obvious, however, that he clearly prefers Brittany. You might think he was an only child, but in the episode "The Benefit Quiz", his brother Brett appears for the only time in the series. In the episode "The Tricky Internship", Taylor learns from Hector that Leon's hated middle name is Vivian.
  • Rachel Blakely as Glenda Fry is Taylor and Layla's (embarrassing) mother.
  • Andrew Blackman as Don Fry is Taylor and Layla's (embarrassing) father and has a small shop in the mall selling underwear. He is also known as the "Underpant King".
  • Sally McKenzie as Mystic Marj is Taylor's crazy aunt and has a small stall in the mall where she predicts the future for people from empty teacups. She also moderates the city radio station's midday magazine. There she also predicts the future, albeit sometimes questionable, to people. In one episode of the second season, Taylor does an internship there.
  • Veronica Neave as Loretta Flune is the perfect and rich mother of Brittanny and the wife of Michael. She lives with her daughter and her husband next to the Fry family.
  • Peter Kent as Michael Flune is Brittanny's father and Loretta's husband. He lives with them next to the Fry family.
