Mortis (also Mortis One ; * in Bad Langensalza , Thuringia ) is a German rapper and music producer .

Life

Marc Junge was born in Bad Langensalza near Erfurt , on the border between East and West Germany, and grew up in Torgau before moving west with his family at the age of five. He spent most of his youthful free time as a graffiti sprayer and took part in private hip-hop jams and freesytle tournaments at a young age. By the way, he learned self-taught producing beats and made some up to five instrumentals in a day. At the age of 18 he moved to Hanover and signed a contract there with the IllViBE Recordings label . After traveling through Germany as a musician for a short time, he went on tour with other artists of the label and helped with productions for which he was allowed to use the label's own equipment and thus had access to professional recording methods for the first time. His environment consisted mostly of African and Turkish people before he moved on to Berlin to find further inspiration.

For the album Querfeldein by Damion Davis , which was released in April 2013, Mortis produced a total of five tracks.

On January 17, 2014, Mortis' first EP Der goldene Käfig was released , the content of which was particularly influenced by questions about home and adolescence .

His debut album Hollywoodpsychose , on which he produced all 14 beats himself, was released on November 28, 2014 after the release was postponed after he was signed to Showdown Records .
